Hi
Just recently purchased a new hark smoker, but am having trouble finding places that sell wood chips. I have been to bunnings and BCF but the chips seem to be pretty standard and boring in flavour. Any info regarding where i could get some would be great thanks
WOOD CHIPS where to buy in brisbane
Re: WOOD CHIPS where to buy in brisbane
bbq's galor has a few different flavours and mixes for different meals, seafood, lamb and beed, poultry and they have a mixture already good to go. around 20 bucks a box though so not the cheapest way.,

I've got some of the Barbecues Galore wood chips. They only sell "blends" nowadays (Poultry, Seaood, Beef and Lamb) I preferred it when they just sold them per tree type: Apple, Hickory etc. Ah well....

maybe, if you are frustrated with the choise of wood chips..............why don't you try pellets..??.. from BBQers delight. i am sure they will work in your hark smoker/pizza oven.

most flavours are available, my favourite was the herbs, but i am partial to a little herbification every now and then....
you only need to make a pouch and use no more than 0.33 of a cup, this stuff smokes up a treat, anymore than that and i promise that you will be opening the door on your hark to desmokeify. also the pellets are available from most good bbq stores. if you can get the smoke stix, they are worth it, i have used them in GORDON with ok success.

I have contacted a local apple framer and gotten dead limbs and trees from him for a small fee ( $25 a UT load). I season the wood for 12 months and have more than plenty to use. I also contacted a wood furniture mnf and picked up chunks of hickory, oak and the sorts. You may want to see if that will work for you.

These guys have some, I just found them by searching for Apple Wood Chips on google.
