Sounds like it's a "second best" option, at best! I guess that's why they bought the Q's out.

I have smoked (aussie) mussels in the shell in a weber kettle, lid on, apple wood pellets.
Taken them out when open, so only a very limited smoke.

Thought they tasted great.

greeny03, I had the same issue regarding the fit of the insert. The 2 extra "screws" that came with mine had a flat head with no screw slot in them. There are two holes in the bottom rim of the insert, on opposite sides to each other, in the part that fits inside the top of the kettle. I p...
