Roasting in the Weber Q 320 - trapping juices?

Post by Bianca »

When roasting in the Weber Q 320, can you put the roasting trivet on a baking dish instead of the foil to catch the juice to use for a gravy?

To trap the juices you should put the foil down, the trivet on the foil and then place the roasting pan with about 10 mm of water in the pan and then a roasting rack in the pan. This will stop the direct heat boiling off the juices and will give you enough juices to for gravy. You will nedto chech the water level from time to time to make sure it doesn't boil dry.

Thank you Phil, you have just resolved one concern I had about the Weber Q - how to make the gravy the family love with their roasts.
