Charcoal supplier near Brisbane

Post by Johnl »

Can anyone suggest a charcoal supplier (preferably chunk) near Brisbane, or a supplier that will deliver to Brisbane?

I tried to order from Sunbrix but they have no stock and can't give a delivery date. :( :(

It's tough when you want to help a forum member and they aren't able to deliver. I guess it's even tougher for them.

Hopefully they will have supplies in the future, but that doesn't help me now.

Any suggestions will be welcomed. :D :D

yep in the same boat here, tried to order through sunbrix last week but was told about a month. i'm just about out of my bag of charka and also bought a bag of diggers from bunnings a while back but i wouldn't call it lump more like pebbles. there was a bbq shop near the port but when i enquired before christmas i thought they were about double the charka. i thought i'd read somewhere a blacksmith supplies in sandgate sometimes sold lump charcoal but have no idea of pricing. maybe some of us in SE QLD need to do a group buy from somewhere down south??

Hi John,

Our freight cost via Couriers Please is $27.50 per 20kg bag. We can also do pallet rates if you organise a group buy. If you are interested, PM me on Monday.

I'm a happy camper :D :D

For anyone still looking for charcoal in Brisbane, I picked up a 20kg bag of chunk charcoal today from Wakerley. (That's all I could fit in the Golf).

They are buying from the same supplier that Sunbrix were using.

Details: Talk to Andy on 0411-618-505.

Address for pickups is: Unit 5, 122 Ingleston Road, Wakerley.

Lump Charcoal 20kg @$25.00
Chunk Charcoal 20kg @ $28.00

They have plenty of stock.

Hi Kevin,

Charcoal Galore based in Beaudesert was once our agent. My understanding is that they no longer supply charcoal.
