This is a bit of a fun post to see who will have the honour of being the last person to post on this forum before it finally ends.

The forum won't end, the owner is too addicted to the advertising money it makes.
I've always thought that adverts don't pay untill someone clicks on them....maybe i'm wrong because this forum is now chockas with google adds.

There seems to be lots of bots on this forum, no doubt bot reading other bots. At any one time this forum seems to have several hundred users on-line. Most of them bots.

Is that a bad thing?

The fashionable term nowadays is to called this AI. Artificial intelligence. So the bots like reading Google ads. Self learning.

Yeah could be 12x7, don't really know but the amount of crap that try and join the forum have rather weird user names.....i'll just let them mount up till infinity...not going to let anyone in anymore.
I'm hoping the Bots enjoy reading the adverts and even buy something

Well who am I to judge, being an admin and mod, I think my post must be judged by a higher authority so I guess it'll have to be done by the owner, but it could take some time as he hasn't signed in for 3 Months.

So the post will remain under scrutiny until the power to be gets off his arse and closes the report.....thanks for the reporter to bring this post to the admins notice, we can't have these scam posts destroying such an active and high standing forum

I guess we'll have to await for whenever any action is to be take place....don't hold one's breath though...this process could take awhile

Still hoping to be the last Human poster on this forum.

The forums are kind of dead nowadays and so is Facebook. People seem to want to have private Facebook groups to make you join before you can view the content. How do you know you want to join if you can't access to see if the info is useful or not or it it is just a scam site trying to capture your identity so they can rip you off.

People seem to like Youtube and reddit.

Yes I've come across many forums like that but I think it's mostly to keep the riff raff out but if I join one that has to go through a moderator first, that's ok, if I don't like the content or if it's more a foreign content not relative to me, then I immediately resign and leave group.
I enjoy Australian bicycle groups but sometimes they don't say where it originates, so if it's not what I'm after then I simply leave, no posts, no dramas.

You're right 12 x 7 about forums being old hat, even SF&F is really quiet lately, not many new topics to talk about.

I tried to get this forum going again but nobody was really interested so i didn't bother pursuing it anymore.

These days I just bbq for my own enjoyment with no pressure to take photos (i've got hundreds already) and just relax with a few beers and some music, enjoy some tucker, clean up, have a shower and get ready for the next day. It's my therapy and relaxation, I got nothing to prove, I've been doing this low and slow shit long before the minions on facebook ever heard of it....
