baby Q burner blockage, sort of

Post by SitDown »

my baby Q once the fire is going, theres a few inches in 2 places where the gas does not ignite at all, even during a cook up. The flame will will taper off in height as it approaches the dead spot
I cleaned the Q out yesterday, used scotchbrite around the area where the flame does not ignite. Did a cook up afterwards, nothing has changed
Not sure what to do

Go to your local Gas/Cig?welding supplier.
get a jet file kit and clean out the holes in the Stainless pipe.
Use the right sized file for the hole

Contact the supplier, tell them of the problem and ask their opinion as they may have had it happen be4.

They may give you a contact number for a weber advise line :)

Obviously it is old and has blockage inside the gas tube (obviously) but don't stuf around with it yourself unless advised by some-one of of some authority.
