I only use the thermo for roasts. I tending to believe it's the meat. The flavour is good & it's still juicy....just the colour.

Agree with 12x7s comment above and trying the thermos.
But...as an ex butcher it seems like a meat issue....but I may be wrong.
After all nothing it what it seems sometimes.
Cheers.
I think you're right about it being a meat issue...will source from another butcher & test. Thx for the input guys. :)

I also use Porterhouse too, I get it cut between 2 & 3 cm thick by the butcher straight off the 'piece'

I cook for 4 mins each side, but don't have the temp settings "flat out"
I cook a bit longer at lower temps for medium/rare :D
An experienced cook & now a Weber Baby 'Q' devotee...
it's a very different world where you can smell but can't see what's happening with your food

I thoroughly clean my Baby 'Q' grills with the recommended steel wire brush each time I finish cooking, and again when I fire it up I give it a bit of a brush to get rid of any 'vermin' that may have accumulated there in an attempt to call it home in between cooking sessions :)

My grills have never moved and have never given me any trouble.
What do peoples clean there grill plates mines 8 years old and only ever empty the fat tray
