Hi All
Thinking about upgrading from my Weber Kettle to one of these.
Kamodo vs Primo vs Big Green Egg vs Char Griller. Just wanted to get some feedback on the best one. Cheers

Hi mate. I have a primo and really like it. The oval shape works well for me when doing large briskets that fit very easily.
I think you would likely be happy with any of these as they will all be an upgrade from your kettle (in terms of size). It just comes down to your budget and what you want to cook.
If you have any specific questions flick me a PM happy to share my experiences or answer questions on the Primo. Cheers.

Look, I think there's been a mistake.... Did you say Steak!?

Hi,
I have a Kamado Classic and I couldn't be happier. I probably should have gone the big Joe but that's another story. But as Santo said, I think you will be happy with any of the above mentioned.

Kamado Komodo @4000. You need to import into Australia
Big Green Egg @2200 for the large size. You need to import in Australia.
Chargriller Akorn. RRP $499 from Bunnings.
It sounds like you are just starting out with Kamados.
Have a read of my threads in the Kamado section.

Re: Kamodo vs Primo vs Big Green Egg vs Char Griller
Ive got the $499 Akorn Kamado from bunnings. It does everything i have ever asked of it and for 1/4 of the price of a ceramic kamado it makes me extremley happy. It does lownslow easily, grills steaks and snags like a champ and the pizza we cook in it comes out amazing.
If i won the lottery sure i would have a KJ Big Joe or a Komodo Kamado (as well as a offset stick burner, hibachi and anything else i could get my hands on) and if you have the spare cash them im certainly not going to talk you out of any type of a ceramic kamado but if your on a budget i could not reccomend the Akorn highly enough.
Ive had it nearly two year and there is no sign of rust, paint has faded a bit but nothing looks to be detiroating.

Keep hearing from happy Akorn users.
If you are near a Costco keep an eye out for their Vision Kamados. Love my two and they are priced between $600 and $800 dollar depending when they appear.
