1824 Brisket

Post by wedwards »

My local butcher, after much arm twisting, ordered in a box of 1824 brisket that he claims is as good as Cape Grim. He tells me it's all grain fed. Anyone had any experience with it? It's a good 5-6kg and looks the business compared to the other rubbish they claim as brisket.

Have cooked it, it's pretty good considering how cheap it is... Can't really compare it to grass fed Cape Grim though, that's like apples and oranges.

Yeah I was thinking the same just based on my experience between grass and grain fed steaks. Will give me something to do this weekend
