Captain Cook???

Post by YankQ »

Don't want to tear the scab off any old wounds, but in digging through old posts about the Q, I see some marvelous posts from Captain Cook, with many mentions of his eBook. Don't see anything from him after May of this year. Does anyone know how I can reach him to get a copy of his book?

Just the way we like it  Davo was just graciously letting you know where the Captain is.
It hasn't been opened up yet , ATM it's mostly a bunch of like minded friends logging recipes and talking Aussie food done at home.
As I alluded to over at the cue forum, This forum is the big one for a massive melting pot of how too's.
Product reviews, Vendors, Associations and local competitions.
If you have an interesting recipe? I'd love to see it logged up on Aussie Cue, here too :D

The Captain has been a bit indisposed but will be moving his Q cookbook to the new Aussiecue shortly but in the meantime you can still find it at the prior incarnation of Aussiecue here:

http://aussiecue.freeforums.net/thread/ ... eful-hints

That site is now dormant because Aussiecue has moved to a new home here:

Ah, yes, the Captain will put it on the new site soon, but it's his IP so not sure what restrictions he puts on downloading - still Aussiecue doesn't charge membership.

You won't see him here anymore because he has been banned for life. Not sure why, obviously someone didn't like him.

You can get his book at the end of this link.

http://aussiecue.dudeworld.com.au/STC/i ... opic=209.0

He also did a big write up on cooking on the Q series which is here.

Have a look around while you're there, it's a pretty good forum.

No offence angryman but your post very much sounds like an advertisement of Mick's forum.
Whilst i admire what Mick has achieved with the new format, he himself is against blatant advertising which this post kind of reeks with it.
There were answers within this same thread where you can find Captain Cook.....doesn't need to be emphasised.

That is all

No advertising for one of the multiple forums I belong to. No product, no brand just good natured help for a member looking for more info. .

Those other links don't work and the new ones do.

No worries Angryman65....just kinda sounded like an advert....

I checked the links that ChrisG put up and they worked ok...I understand the the original freeforum is now just a visual reference especially until the members can transfer their wanted posts over to the new place.....but the links still work to view it.

Thanks for helping out a member :)

No dramas.

If I was advertising there'd be a big pretty picture of the page with hyperlinks and other internetty things my kids talk about.

:)

It became a bit convoluted, to get the download from the old location you had to be a member but because we are shutting that place down by degrees we had stopped allowing new members. Being the good Captain was indisposed we opened it back up for just this reason, but, the Captain has now moved the links to the new site in any event.

The cookbook is linked from a lot of places so it will remain open to access, as a member on the old site until the Captain has updated all the pointers.
