You can get a 16" Aussie made offset from bullockhead for $1200. Delivery to most places in Aus prob won't be over $200, cheaper and keeps the $$ in the country. Prob not quite as big as the hark but who needs to cook half a dozen briskets or pork shoulders at once anyway? Good alternative option for those who already have bbqs and just want to try a little stick burner - that's what I'll be getting as soon as I can convince the dragon.

Off Topic but: Some retailers have stock (like me), but ProQ Australia won't get a delivery of stock till end of OCTOBER....So when your local retailer runs out...that's it!

You certainly have. You won't go wrong with the proq. A totally different pit to an offset, and likely a lot better of a beast to learn on.

It's going together nicely....Owners manual says Two man job, but I'm doing it by myself carefully...it's got some weight though!
