Massimo Bottura - 3rd best restaurant in the world 2014

Post by Narmnaleg »

I thought I'd share this video of one of the world's leading chefs. Check out the little baby Kamado in the background (at 1:47)!

I just started watching Chef's Table on Netflix last night and the first episode was all about Massimo. Pretty interesting guy.

Netflix is Great! I've had Netflix (US) and Hulu for years...it's about time they got it down under!

Yeah, I still have my Netflix set to US... and occasionally flick over to UK or Canada as well if there's a certain show I want to watch 8)

Haven't even looked at the Aussie Netflix to be honest...

I'm on AU Netflix and am trialling it for a month for free. Well worth the $12 per month they are asking for HD content. What I like about the AU version is that it is completely hassle free and very easy to watch on the big telly.

I'm still on Netflix US and have 6 months on Presto for free courtesy of Telstra, which seems OK so far. (Are we off topic ? :) )

Forgive me, as I now live in Mayberry and I have a metered internet usage, so video watching is off limits! What is 1 & 2?

Hi Bent,

check out the list, some pretty big names on there. I think Noma have been number 1 for a few years now...

Idiotic circles I sometimes run in Bent, I can count three in the top 50, and, you know what ?

Pretty damned ordinary, willing to bet what your residence produces would exceed :)

That really is interesting to hear...As a young man I got to eat in what I considered 3 Iconic restaurants...La Tour d'Argent, the Eiffel Tower when it had the restaurant about half way up it and Simpson's...I guess 1 is gone and the other 2 are not as highly regarded as they were in the early 70's!

:)

It can be a fad as much as anything - when I was very much younger one of my bosses used to sort of hold court at the Dorchester in London - I can't say the food ever impressed much but it was THE place to eat in London back then :)

I do remember that restaurant in the Eiffel tower, was not bad :)

Cheers

When you go to a flash restaurant you are just paying the LOMBARD tax for some obsessive compulsive to fondle your food
