First brisket and mopping

Post by MrBBQ »

Hey guys,

After a bit of reading I am finally doing my first test brisket using the snake method smoking with apple wood :D

What I am wondering is about mopping. Picked one up and ready to go but, do I lose much heat when I use it? Does it extend the cook time much?
When is best to use it and how often?

And any final tips?
Looking forward to it...

Beer and BBQ, nothing could be better!
Weber Compact on ghetto stand, Weber original 2 family and a BabyQ on a toolbox stand.
