I'm planning on roasting a 1.9kg leg of lamb in the kamado tomorrow. My wife usually cooks this in the oven at 180C for a couple of hours. Comes out nice but I would like to try cooking at a bit lower temperature, eg 120C. Is this a goer? I will cook it in a foil dish so that I can throw in the veges towards the end. At what stage should I put in the potatoes, pumpkin and carrots? I have never done the complete meal at one go so suggestions welcome,
Bob

Re: Roast leg of lamb
I don't have a kamodo Bob but i would think if you want the veggies roasted, you might need to go higher than 120 C, maybe to 150_ 180C.
Kamodo cookers hold moisture very well and you'll find to get tenderness, roasting temps will give you awesome results.
Lamb will go nicely at 120 but your veggies may not roast.

Re: Roast leg of lamb
I did it at 120C. Came out very nicely. Will try upping the temp for veggies next time. Thanks,
Bob
