G'day guys,
Wondering if anyone can tell me roughly what the cooking time might be for a Butterfly Leg of Lamb in Weber Kettle?
Indirect - 25 beads a side?
I also wouldn't mind trying charcoal for the first time tonight so if that changes the amount of fuel or cooking time, please let me know?
Cheers,
Joey.

Re: Butterfly lamb in Weber Kettle
My formula:
20 beads each side
when the lamb goes on, close vents to top 25%, bottom 50%
45 to 50 minutes per kg (45 = hotter day, 50 = colder day)
then check with thermapen-type probe
I've only used charcoal once for b/f l/o/l in a kamado
and 1.4kg took exactly 1.0 hour @ 350f-370f
all this is based on the temps of mid north coast NSW.
if you're in a cooler climate, add a bit more time,
or a bit more fuel (e.g. 22 beads each side)
