Melbourne Meat Sales
Just a quick note to any of you in Melbourne, I have come across a supplier doing full packer briskets, and short ribs, and some wagu cuts, its not cape Grim but the short ribs look really good, not cheap at $22 a kilo and there briskets are $13.50 about 5kilo piece, you can find them at Vics Quality Meats Weddle crt Laverton 93689368 or just google them

I went to this place yesterday Tip top Butchers and yes it has full ox brisket about 8 kilo each, but price quoted was 12 dollars a kilo, looked great plenty of fat, they had short ribs as well, and pork hocks cut from the leg giving you those nice big ones, lots of meat throughly recommend any one visiting this outlet, you will get what you wantkenshinzero wrote:if you go around to

Just got a call from them, this time quoted $13 per kilo when I asked, that helps!
Re: Melbourne Meat Sales
I was going to a make a thread about meat prices in melbourne. It had me concerned that prettys in point cook wanted to charge me $27 a kg for st louis pork ribs.
I think from memory they're meant to be around the $8-9 kg mark. Brisket is around $12.99 from most butchers at vic market. Beef ribs should be around $7.
But where does the $27 come from?
I was recently charged $22 a kg for pork shoulder too...

That seems expensive but ribs are, make sure you are not just buying bones they need to leave a good amount of meat to charge money like that
