Cooked the chook at about 300 degrees C for the first 40 minutes, got worried I'd burn it dropped it back to 200 and pulled it out at the 2 hour 15 minute mark.

My wife said she liked her chicken, my two year old threw his all over the floor although I don't think that was a direct reflection on the cook  :-)
Why did you ask?
You went and did it your own way anyway
That's not exactly true........

My first post was at 4:22pm when I started cooking, the first reply quoting a temperature (200 C) I could use came in at 5:06pm rougly 40 minutes after my first post.

You'll then notice as per the post you replied to that I followed Meat and Eats advice and dropped it back to 200 C.

Thanks for your post though.

Ok, wasnt a dig at you.
Drop chook roasting back down to 180
Give it time to soften up
If trees screamed when we cut them down, We wouldn't. If they screamed all the time we would.
