Well it has taken me much longer to post these pictures than I had hoped but I have a good excuse, last week "The powers that be" gave birth to our first child, a happy healthy baby boy named Cooper John Edwards. Loving fatherhood already and already talked him through a Julia child recipe I cooked the other night.

Now to the good stuff: my boxing day turducken. It was a huge hit and I really enjoyed cooking it. Would I do it again? No. But at least now I can say that I have. So here are the pics

Congratulations Danboya! That is an wonderful achievement (and I'm not talking about the Turducken :) )

Welcome to the world Cooper John Edwards! At this pace, I imagine he'll be onto solid food in record time :D

Danboya, the Turducken looks amazing as well :D

Thanks for the congrats guys.

Commander the reason I wouldn't do another turducken is because 90% of the reason I did it in the first place is just to see if I could. Don't get me wrong it tasted great but after the initial reveal of the first cut into it, it just becomes a mound of stuffing and assorted birds. I think i would much rather do the 3 birds separately with different flavors. I have to admit though the process of assembling it was a lot of fun
