i got the suck-o-lator out of mothballs yesterday to do some chicken. the suck-o-lator pulls a vacuum to expand the meat allowing it to marinate within a few hours vs overnight. i then tossed them onto the rib-o-lator to cook.
i coated the chicken with greek yogurt, ginger, garlic, and orange juice.
the injection was diluted yogurt, butter, and OJ.
my son made the injector pump and i made the multi-needle injector block. the needles are 2"long and about 1/2" apart and it works great with the pump.
i cooked them on the rib-o-lator at 325-350 grill temp for about an hour and they came out crispy, tasty and water hose juicy.

That chicken looks beautiful! You can even see how tender and juicy it is!
How did you prevent the chicken from burning? I find that whenever I marinade chicken in yoghurt, it seems to burn faster.

The Lower Temperature cooking: 160ish C
"i cooked them on the rib-o-lator at 325-350 grill temp for about an hour"
Then of course the ferris wheel magic of the Ribolator means a nice even heat cook gives a perfect result!
Well done BoB
Cheers

the smaller needles do limit the juice you can inject but they are detachable so you can use bigger ones.
also cooking chicken at lower temps will make it easier not to burn but it won't get the skin crispy. chris has it right, it's the magic of the rib-o-lator. i hope to have them in your neighborhood soon.

Re: Suck-o-lator & injection chicken
i just received a box of 14g needles, these things are big enough to inject marinade with small chunks. i will try it soon and update. but i'm going to definitely have 911 on speed dial, i anticipate allot of blood loss.
here is the old and the new.
now tell me someone isn't going to get hurt with that!
