Saori Japanese Sauces and Rubs

Post by Gumb »

I've posted a few times about cooking Japanese style with some locally made Japanese sauces and rubs and i'd highly recommend this brand. (I have no affiliation, just love the stuff :D ) The Ninja rub is superb on kamado grilled fish.

Interesting post Gumb
I don't tend to mix Okonomiyaki and Tonkastu sauce together as I like the different sauces for the different dishes. As my wife is Japanese we eat both regularly.
You can buy these cheaply in Aus now

Ponzu sauce is the bomb, mixing Yuzu with soy sauce is amazing as a dipping sauce (also good with vodka/shochu)
Am going through the sloooww process at the moment of importing some Yuzu trees into WA. Some lucky members here already have Yuzu trees......
Another spice worth checking out is Sansho (Zanthoxylum piperitum) Japanese pepper similar to Sichuan pepper but not as spicey more citrusy

Cheers GN, I'll have a look at that too. I just love the fresh taste of the Japanese sauces.
