Grilled corn in the husk

Post by Amfibius »

Seems as if veggie recipes get no love here! The last few I posted have had no thread replies!

Anyway, this one is simple. Scale the recipe per ear of corn (i.e. triple the quantities of the butter, paprika, etc. if making 3 ears of corn):

- 1 ear of corn
- 10gm butter
- 1/3 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt

Image

Soak the corn to get the husk waterlogged. Melt the butter and stir in the paprika and salt. Peel back the corn husks and remove the silk. Brush the butter/paprika mixture on.

Replace the husk and secure with string. Cook over direct heat for 15 minutes until tender.

Ready to eat!!

Not many things are nicer than a bob of succulent corn on the cob.....I usually don't do mine with the husks, just indirect grill them for quite a long time till they start to charr on the sides at least.

That is how I do mine :D What I love about doing it this way is the sweet grassy smoke flavour that the chared husk imparts.
If trees screamed when we cut them down, We wouldn't. If they screamed all the time we would.
