Compared to its heyday the forum is pretty quiet.

There's lots of lurkers as being one of the oldest BBQ forums in Australia it has heaps of information which people search for.

There's a few Aussie based BBQ forums and Facebook sites. You will find most people using Facebook nowadays instead of forums. The move from forums to facebook is pretty common nowadays.

Many of the old-timers are still around but tend to spend their time BBQing instead of posting. There's only so many times you can post pictures of your cook or answer the same question over and over again.

We're still alive and kicking..
Just a number are active on other forums (I've been quiet for a long time)

But were hanging in and there and still a lot of BBQ-ing going on... So post away!

Happy BBQ-ing, Paul

Sweet as. Well guess i joined to find info on temp control and if anyone has tried lining their fire box with high temp grout pizza oven grade i have an idea of "rebar'ing" the grout with avery mesh and creating a horizonal egg so to say. The smoker is the bbq galore texas ranchero cheap i know but a starting smoker and thats all im willing to spend until i get the basic principles. Othe mods so far Ive sealed the cook chamber hood with fire tape, rtv'd most minor leaks, fit 4mm mild steel tune plates with baffle. fab'd a coal basket..... not much more i can do except insulate the fire box. Let me know your thoughts

Cheers
