Help & advice required for 4 burner bbq & rangehood

Post by Coxy »

HI all,
I've been viewing this website for a bit now & find it very informative. Our situation - we have a 10 yr old BBQ galore 4 burner + 2 burner cast iron dish (paid roughly $1200) that's on its way out. We live close to the ocean so need good quality & we bbq at least 3-5 times per week.
I've looked at many bbq websites & am completely overwhelmed. My main question is as we're on a budget (also doing deck extension) are the bull & euro grilles rubbish?? They look great & euro gets good reviews. I realise only positive reviews would be posted.
Specifically https://www.bbta.com.au/products/Bull-B ... tchen.html & http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Euro-Gri ... 1035346664.
I've also noticed the blue tongue bbqs. Is there a huge difference between these & the latter 2 (Bluey I'm sure you can answer this)

Visited BBQ Galore this morning & nothing really grabbed us after seeing the bbqs online. We don't want to spend a fortune since our last bbq has lasted such a long time. We are also on the hunt for an outdoor rangehood (don't want the beautiful new ceiling getting destroyed by soot now do we). Again the BBQ galore Z & B looks too chunky. I've found a couple online - http://www.thebarbequestore.com.au/exce ... -cxwb1208/ & https://www.outdoorsdomain.com.au/gasma ... rangehood/ Looks sleek but can't find much info. My concerns with the rangehoods - Excelsior is 316ss & gasmaster is 304ss. Should this be a deciding factor if we live so close to the ocean?? Do we need to spend a minimum of $2500 for a decent one that'll extract the smoke & not fall apart??
Forgot to mention we also have a weber q that we cook roasts & pizzas in so don't need another weber.
Any & all your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps

If you have a Weber Q, what did you cook on the 4 burner?

sausages, steaks, chicken... you name it; anything & everything (except roast & pizza) etc. Hubbys a fabulous bbq-er. You can't cook as much at once on a weber. Just want to get another 4 burner bbq - could have an optional wok burner for instance. Like the look of the Euro grilles

I had a look at the link. There's some serious discounts going on from $2200 down to $700.

I would try and see if anyone else is selling them. With the amount of money you are going to pay you would want some customer service for spares as BBQ's can break. Eg shipping or assembly.
