Hi all,
Thanks for this great forum.
I've had a couple of very average bbq's over the last 10 years. The 1st was a wedding present, it was a huge flimsy stainless steel lined thing with lots of bells and whistles which served a purpose for about 5 years before it started corroding and falling apart.
The next one, I chose something smaller (4 burner) a bit better quality and converted to natural gas but was never really happy with the heat distribution and makes cooking a real chore as you have to constantly move stuff around to get it to cook properly without burning.
After replacing the burners (cast iron) several times, I still have this bbq but it's on it's last legs as far as I'm concerned.
The next bbq that I'm looking at buying must be all the things the previous ones were not, ie; even cooking, top quality to last 10 + years.
A few people I know have the smaller Weber's and they're all very happy with them but I need something that can be built in which is why I'm seriously considering the Summit range. I've looked at Beefeater and similar ones but I seem to go back to the Weber's due to their design and lid down cooking style even though they are very expensive

fg1972,
I know these are in Sydney and you're in Melbourne but just for some comparison on what you are getting with the Summit, the closest comparison would be these guys for quality....Australian as well.

Thank you Davo,
I've looked at some of their items online and they do indeed seem like very good quality. Looks like a good option if I don't end up going with a Weber.
After a bit of research, I'm only reading positive comments about this company and their products.
