Smoke in da eyes

Post by Mangal »

Gday,

I found this place whilst searching for some info on what paint to use for a weber Genesis silver firebox.
I rescued one off gumtree from a couple of vegetarians.
Will be like a new one soon. Might post a photo or 2 later.
Will be a nice addition to the half inch steel and six bricks bbq beside the chopping block.
Got a kettle for smoking and real bbq too.

Welcome Mangal. Sorry I missed this post earlier. Been busy with work. No idea about paint for a Weber. I know people use high temp engine/brake caliper paint for their Weber Q lids, so maybe that'd work?

I would give "Potbilly" paint a shot its the paint they use to paint Nectre Fire places with, which is a matte finish, no idea what to use for a Gloss finish.
and the other thing to help your paint job it to make so sure that what your painting is super clean, trust me it sucks when you've pained a masterpiece and the paint bubbles off.
Good Luck
