G'day all
First things first.
Thanks. :D
After many hours researching BBQs on your page I settled on a Weber Genesis. It took an extra 5 or 6 weeks to save the cash but after the rap you guys give it on here I'm sure it will be worth the wait. It arrived at lunchtime today and I'll give it its first run tonight with a marinated lamb shoulder.
Seriously thanks for all the posts I have read on here, it really helped me decide. I wonder how many people have made their decisions based on your experiences ???

Now I'm off to your recipe section for another look

Hi Jackhammer,

I have made multiple purchases based on data gleaned from here, and if I was in the market to add to my bbq arsenal, this is the first place I'd use for research.

Welcome, and all the best with the new gasser.

Edit: spelling

Welcome Jack and thanks for joining up. That is one great BBQ you've picked up and I hope you'll post some pics in the Gas section for us to see the results, which I'm sure will be terrific. :)

Don't worry about that Jack, just post a pic in the What Did You Cook section. We love to see what other BBQ fanatics are up to and it doesn't have to be exotic or anything. Just good old home BBQ. :)

Welcome aboard Jack. You won't be disappointed with the Genesis. I've had one for 5 years and it truly is a great gas BBQ.

I'll add to this thread instead of creating a new one.

Howdy from another new Westralian signup.

Hope to be of positive contribution to this great online community.

New Perth poster here as well.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this forum. I haven't stopped reading all day.

I have a weber57 that I have been under-utilising for years. Tried a few briskets and a pork shoulder so far.. Whilst not horrible, I know they can be better. Looking forward to learning as much as I can from the experience in this forum.

Cheers,

John

Thanks. That sounds great.

I'll check my work roster to see if I can make it.

Also trying to snaffle time off work to attend one of your schools on the 29th.

Cheers,

John
