Another New One from Perth

Post by codgerswa »

G'day All,
Looking forward to learning some more tips from this very informative forum .We purchased a Weber 320 Family Q from getaway camping a few weeks ago & have done a few steaks, lamb steaks, a Coles plum& ginger marinated pork roast & a Coles rosemary & garlic lamb roast, both with veges, & they turned out pretty nice. We had a couple of goes at pizza so far & they turned out real nice too. I'll try to put up a couple of pics later on.
Cheers from Steve near Inglewood in Perth.

Hi Steve,

You're only a couple of suburbs over.

I presume you put a pizza stone in your bbq? How did you find it?

Hello all
This forum is a great resource. I also recently bought a Weber Q 320 from Getaway Outdoors in Balcatta. Christmas present to me. I haven't used it yet although my 14yo and 19yo sons have so it must be easy to use!
I look forward to using it regularly and already have plenty of good ideas from this forum. Couldn't believe there were so many BBQ aficionados in one place.

:)

Hi from another in WA.

I just drove from my place in Heathridge to Ocean Reef and back, not far, with the windows down. Apart from dodging the usual road maniacs the trip was made very pleasant from the near continual aroma of backyard bbqing, and it's Friday remember :)

I begin to wonder if anyone in the Northern suburbs cooks indoors in summer, certainly was not like this down south :)

I've a duck getting ready to go on the Q, been brined, made a rub, letting it dry a little before cooking, better decide what to have with it :)

Cheers
