New Bloke from Brissie

Post by Rub My Ribs »

Hi all,

Have been reading on the side lines for a few weeks and have decided to join up. Lots of good stuff being written from what I have seen so far. Keen to learn from the experience in the group.

As far as the set up goes I'm a Gasser at the moment - Beefeater Discovery 1100 5 burner.

Cheers

Steve

Beaver wrote:welcome steve,

you will soon find that theres a little bit of "hazing" for people with gas bbq's even though i would say 99.93% of the forum have them :) (with the exception of mcjack, he doesnt even have a bbq  )
lookn' forward to learning from you and seeing all those lovely dead things applied to hot metal :)
any questions feel free to ask! :)

Welcome New bloke from Brissie.
I know plenty about what can be done on gas, So I hope to help when I can.
I think what Beaver ment was, beyond his flaming, You will be introduced to the fine art of real fire and before you know it, A Kettle of sorts will be in your sights.
Its called the dark side with real charcoal. Then there is another darker side , Then another,,,,
Brother get out while you still can
Good to have you here RMR

Welcome and nice bit of kit the Beefeater. As Smokey Mick said before long you'll be adding a charcoal BBQ/smoker to your arsenal as well.

Cheers for the welcome blokes.

I think it's just a matter of time before I am cooking over charcoal.

My Maverick thermometer arrived today. Picked up the ET 85 - heaps of posts rate the other model but we"ll see how this goes

Cheers
