Re: Beef Burgers
We cooked this Huxtaburger recipe a couple of months ago...

We now have this at least 2-3 times a month - well worth a try - most importantly, follow the assembly directions.

Re: Beef Burgers
It has to be the Burger I turned in for the Burger Comp many moons a go, cuz it is the 1st and the last time I have ever had beet on a cheeseburger!
Twin pattie, 12 slices of (plastic cheese as someone said, milk came out my nose when I read that one) cheese, 4 slices on each level. 9 slices of bacon, grated lettuce, grilled onion slices and guacamole/aioli mayo on potato flour bun.
Dont know why, but now I want a mess of Tacos!

Re: Beef Burgers
Try adding some finely cubed capsicum and grated cheese to your recipe. I've been doing that for years and it makes a great burger.sydking wrote:Hi all
Im about ready to kill for a decent burger
I usually keep the recipe simple, Beef mince, Eggs, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs but it just does not cut it for me
Post up your fav beef burger recipes so i can trial many burgers over the weekend.
Cheers
Re: Beef Burgers
Been having burger cravings myself lately. This was Friday nights effort. My version of a juicy Lucy but I stuffed it with Blue Cheese.
Re: Beef Burgers
This burger mix works for me:
500g mince (I prefer lamb or beef)
1 small brown onion - very finely chopped
1/2 carrot - finely grated
1 egg
10 drops tabasco
salt and pepper
Cook on medium until done.

Re: Beef Burgers
This might be a stupid question but do you guys grill these over charcoal? I'm getting prepared for a mega burger night on Friday after drooling over this thread, and I can't shake an image of my burgers crumbling to pieces and falling through the grill on my OTS!
Re: Beef Burgers
Mine are done on pellet pits, but the actual grill is pretty much standard!

The trick is not turning them until they have released.
Grill Grates are great for burgers as you can get under and lift
