They are great!
There is a book, "Moroccan Modern" by chef Hassan M'Soufi and put out by New Holland.
There is enough info and recepies in it to make you an expert
The spice combinations are fantastic

Nar I was wondering if this was in the jokes section :D

We have an electric tagine doesn't get very hot tho and I'm worried the plastic handle will melt in the oven or BBQ. You'll have a bit of fun cooking new meals in those Glen!

I've had a couple tagines for a few years now. use them on your stove top - they create an oven like atmosphere inside the lid and are great for cooking (you guessed it!) tagines....!

chicken and green olive is my favourite tagine and also a meatball, tomato and egg!! you'll want to serve your tagines on couscous...

have fun with your wifes new toys!

also, you'll love the flavours/spices used in morrocan cooking - lots of cumin, coriander, paprika, tumeric, mint, parsley, lemon, tomato, etc....

here a pic of my large tagine (its a bit dusty - its a ornament in our kitchen with a home on top of the cupboards above the stove):
