Left overs

Post by food&fish »

If this is in the wrong section please move .
What do you do with leftovers.
When we have left overs we freeze them ,But the problem is we never get around to using them.
Every so often I have a cull but I hate throwing away good food

Leftovers covers a pretty broad range of food. Firstly vac pacing, things last alot longer in the freezer if air cant get to it. Leftover hambones- easy soup. Leftover chicken/duck/beef, bones and carcases make good stock, save till you have enuff for a big batch and freeze in chinese food containers. Leftover roast meats, slice and freeze in small pacs for sandwiches, freeze in larger chunks for curries/stews. Prawn heads and shells, freeze for burly if you fish or make a delicious bisque. Bread, all bread freezes well, reuse bread rolls to make garlic bread.
