Vic - Meatmaiden

Post by Spiesy »

My wife, 17-mth year old boy and myself visited Meatmaiden on Tue night. We were impressed.

Very attentive, accomodating and friendly staff. Cool venue, with nice meat display of tomahawks and hanging porterhouse whole when you walk in, great music and soundsystem. We were going to go with the $49 p/h set menu, glad we didn't, my God it was filling.

Entree/starter: burnt ends and tequila fried chicken wings.
Mains: brisket and pulled pork.
Sides: salad, mac'n'cheese.

The entree was so filling, that we couldn't finish is and had to "pull" back on the pulled pork. Food was all very nice, brisket (20-hr cooked) was awesome and my pick of the bunch. Mac'n'cheese was also very good.

Beer menu was also awesome - bit of a must for me. Pirate Life and Feral on tap had me very happy.

$120 for 2.2 people, with all drinks included. We'll be back, hopefully without the little tacker!

Sounds like a great place... Is it a chain?
I don't think they're outside of Melbournia?

Happy BBQ-ing, Paul
