I'm not sure if what Bentley is wanting to do is absorb some Oz comedy or just Aussie movies in more general terms that reflect our somewhat unique culture that most always has its comedy side.
If the latter then a more recent movie that is a good piece of entertainment is "Red Dog" only saw it myself for the first time a few weeks ago, worth a repeat viewing and a sequel is in the works.
