Some prime Dee-troit metal right there. I'd actually give the edge to the Poncho... err.. Pontiac. While straight line the Mopar may have had the advantage, the 5-6 year newer Trans-Am would have the edge in handling. Plus..I'm biased. I have a 1968 GTO :{)

If I remember correctly, the Pontiac GTO was the fastest accelerating saloon car of it's time....still looks awesome!!

Unfortunately with all the Woes over in Detroit, General Motors have also pulled the rug out from our own Holden motor cars and they stop local production in a couple of years..this follows Ford's decision to pull out as well...we have no motorcar industry left now. :(
