the martial arts i did is called koryu uchinadi (as well as done tkd, karate and hapkido)
its basically what karate used to be in okinawa before the japanese took over and sanitised it for use in schools and competition.

I agree Percel, sometimes unavoidable though.
I've very vaguely heard of that style Zorba, been banned a lot of places hasn't it ?
Special Forces don't really call what they train in by any style, very bastardised, takes some stuff from all over. A friend who is as long retired as me from rough stuff wrote one of the manuals that has a brief discussion of origins for its forward. The common theme across most countries seems to be Savate, French Foot Fighting. That originated on the docks of Marseilles.
