Merry Christmas Members,

I thought I'd start a new area for you all to place your Christmas and New Year Cook-ups.....it's a special time of the year when most of us have a bit of time on the tongs.....so lets see what you guys have in store for us.

Cheers

Could be at Gnol's end coz any other topic accepts pics ok...I've tried through the forum's back door but can't find anything to suggest why it wouldn't work on this end.

Google pics seems to be having problems with the links. I'll try another way.

Spent the festive period in Tassie - delightful. Lots of decent beer and fishing, sometimes both at the same time :D

Not really camping just hanging out in Jimbo's back yard in Mount Nelson, Hobart.

Unzippy...you're having too good a time there mate...get back to work  I'm jealous as heck!!

That arrangement looks really good.....do you have a close up pic of the entire firebowl set-up?

If ever I get to own my own place again with any resemblance of a backyard......I'm going to have myself a firepit.....Summer or Winter...they are bloody awesome!!

Cheers

I think it's due to being hosted on Google Photos. Looking at the link within the IMG tags there isn't a file its pointing to - like a jpg/png etc

This explains it in more detail - https://www.rainsberger.ca/2016/02/19/d ... image-tag/

Quote definitely back at work now - hence posting on here
Jimbo says he got it at K&D in Hobart for $300 - but they don't really have an online catalogue. However its the 120cm version of this:

https://www.firepitsdirect.com.au/produ ... half-grill

We used some strips of stainless to rest the skewers on and then raked the stringy gum coals under.
