Weber Q searing

Post by the dane »

Gave the Weber Q, a 100% clean last weekend. Amazing how food comes out on clean grates. And amazing how much gunk crust gets stuck under the gratesImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

There's definitely something about a good grilling session...no stuffing about with low n slow....just a good ol fashion fry up.

You are right about the gunk....one of the little bug bears of the Weber Q grill plates are the channels underneath get a lot of sticky gunk underneath....kind of makes you wonder how it works it's way under there like it does considering it's facing down....even a good high heat burn off doesn't remove it.

I get what I can off with a flat head screw driver then give it a hit with the K'archer then I place it back on the Weber after I'vegiven the bowl a good scrape out...sometimes mine gets so gunky that I take out the burners and give the bowl a good hit with the K'archer as well.....I do tend to think that the gunk build up tends to absorb a lot of heat.

Hmmm....I might check to see if I've got any bacon in the fridge....need a good cooked brekky tomorrow morning.

Cheers
