Awesome Titch...they'd last 5 seconds if i was there :P

Love the lamb shanks...but unfortunately wife hates lamb which kinda steers me away from buying them.

She only used to buy them for the dogs to eat raw :cry:

I've done a few of those Paul in the past.....what i used to do is reverse sear them...worked very well....indirect roast untill about 50-55C internal then throw over to the hot coals and char it.....was always a hit but if i'm the only one to eat it...it's kinda not worth my while.

Local Foodland had reduced to clear 2 for $5 huge lamb shanks, but they look like the lamb leg tip cut higher up, not your typical lamb shank off the Forequarter. I still brought some for the freezer. Worst comes to worst be a small lamb leg
