Our first Brisket

Post by gourmetgalaxy »

Hey,
Well me mate and I dropped this out on the weekend for our first attempt. must admit work dragged me off for a bit but we feel satisfied with the first try. Think we got a good bark.
What is your thoughts? Only thing was we did use a little too much salt & pepper maybe.
Here is some photos.

Great effort GG..that crust looks pretty good from here....was it moist and almost pull apart?

I must admit....i don't have much time with large briskets due to only being me and wife and don't have much space to entertain friends...just easier to meet them somewhere.

Cheers

Great first effort!

If you have too much meat for one sitting try vacuum sealing and putting it in the freezer and reheat in hot water in the packet.

Did you Texas crutch it?
