It was OK, not as good as I hoped but that may be because I am spoilt.

I gotta myself some of those square edged skewers....only way to stop meat from spinning around when you turn them...flat ones are ok too.

Hey Dane,
You've just inspired me for the weekend. I've got some of those Weber skewers - 2 4packs thrown in as part fo the deal with the Gen II LX. They also hook into the tray above the burner; there's some special Weber name for it that I cannot remember - anyway I might give some chorizo kebabs a crack on Sunday.

Also, I went to a local supermarket this evening - more for some grape and grain - as opposed to meat but I was attracted by the 'manager's special' - a whole eye fillet (2kgs) for $23 per kilo. I normally prefer Scotch or something with a little more fat... but wait until I cut this bad boy up and have 1-3/4" fillet steaks. Charcoal or gas? Decisions, decisions ... I might go the kebabs on the gasser and the fillets over charcoal.

If I get of my clacker and do it... I'll post some photos on Sunday night.
