a good steak photo
An experienced cook & now a Weber Baby 'Q' devotee...
it's a very different world where you can smell but can't see what's happening with your food

Mainey....that steak looks awesome...you do that on the little Q?
Man I would give anything to tuck into a steak like that lately.....haven't had any decent meat in weeks.....way too late when i get home and i'm way too tired.
My Q320 hasn't been used in almost 2 Months for the above reasons as well as when me and the Mrs do get a day off together, we like to go out somewhere...today is Sashimi day but I might sneak in a steak tonight
Cheers

Common, just 4 mins a side and 4 mins rest
Just 12 mins and it's ready to eat, takes longer for the prep time
Get them cut a bit thicker than usual and they stay nice an moist

Yes see that's an issue actually, much of the supermarket steaks/chops etc. are cut too thin, whereas a butcher will cut it to the size you're after....well most will..those who won't...don't deserve your dollars.
The Weber BBQs are designed to cook steaks of around 1.5-2.0 inches thick.....otherwise they are done too early on the inside before the char really happens.
But that steak you did....to me is damned near puuuurfect
Yeah...I know I'm slack

Preheat with some grill grates and you can get the char with a Weber Q with the thinner steaks.
Works on other gas BBQ's as well.
