Oh man these look soooo delish.....good looking sauce although I did notice that while you called it a bourbon ....you used scotch whiskey....(in the ingredients anyway...wonder if theres much a difference when used for cooking or making sauces.

Ahhhhhh nicely spotted Davo, yes I did use a scotch. The Wife bought that for me a while ago. When I opened it I could smell it was bourbon straight away. Then I tasted it and could have sworn it was bourbon. I couldn't drink it. It had to be bourbon. So after doing some research I found out the Monkey Shoulder IS in fact a Scotch......but it's aged in Bourbon Barrels! WTF? Anyway, I had jack Daniels and Wikd turkey in the cupboard and decided to use the Monkey Shoulder Scotch.Davo wrote:Oh man these look soooo delish.....good looking sauce although I did notice that while you called it a bourbon ....you used scotch whiskey....(in the ingredients anyway...wonder if theres much a difference when used for cooking or making sauces.
