Beef Ribs 23/09/2015

Post by Buzabbq »

Picked this up from Woolies today, just getting them ready to 4 hr in the smoke.
Not a bad price $12 per kg and ok amount of meat on them.
Really wanted pork ribs but wasn't going to pay $26.80 kg with very little meat on them.

I ended up having to rush the cook, It could of had another hour on the grill.

I have one of rack which I will do on the weekend

They're not bad.. But better if you wash the marinade off and take off the membrane first.

My local Coles has unmarinated ones for $8kg, I have no idea if they are any good though.

Let us know how these Woolies ones turn out.

To give it a fair go I will do a more controlled cook on the weekend and let you know what I think

$12.18/lb. for pork ribs WTH? Man, at that price the ribs would have to cook me a Pizza too! Those are much meatier beef ribs then you can get here unless you have them specifically cut!

I had a go with some of the $8/kg coles ribs. They are cut into single ribs.
I cooked them along with a whole rack I got from the butchers ($11/kg) and they were a little dry compared to the whole rack, but were still good.
