what wood and where from

I just got my kettle pizza oven kit id like to start making some pizzas, I'd like to know what kind of wood should I get and where from i'm in the Wollongong NSW area????

I just use old hardwood fence (unpainted). Got a stack of it in the backyard.

Don't know about down the 'gong, but if you head south from Eastern Creek on Wallgrove Rd, not far from Chandos Rd is a firewood bloke who sells redgum - it burns nice & hot, and for quite a while.

I can get my hands on ironbark, will that get temperatures up high enough and is it a strong flavor tasting wood

Ironbark burns hot with not much ash

Iron bark is perfect, If you can split it.
Iron bark has an Air Dried Density of around 1120 kg / M3 against around 900 kg / M3 for River red gum

Check out Mac and Me firewood
Beware a one Barbecue man, He probably knows how to use it!
