GMG pellets or...

Post by ShireSteve »

Ok, just about finished the two bags of GMG Fruitwood pellets that arrived with the grill (love them). Local stockist in Taren Point is out of stock for GMG pellets.
Where do the Sydney guys get your pellets, do any of you use other brands?

Cheers

Check in there mate ^^... I started that list last year but since starting it everyones editing privileges got removed, I left it to mods to maintain, there is no current mods (that I'm aware of) and I've been banned (not long back) SO I'm not sure how current it is

I usually buy mine in lots of 5-10 bags through Nicholson & Saville, if you can afford to buy in those multiples its about as cheap as it gets without committing to a pallet  which I know guys who have!

Also there will shortly be another source in south Sydney with flexible pick up hours. ;)

Try them all and see what you like...

Hey Steve, I'm now on the pellet bandwagon also and was looking to stock up. Perhaps we could do a Sydney group buy to get a bulk rate. Interested? I'd be in for 10 to 15 bags of GMG pellets.

75 bags on a full Pallet, can be mixed, so 25 each flavour. You can do less of course.

Yep a lot of Marketing Hype and sales BS, Dave...all of it coming from you!

The OP asked for Sydney...not the whole country! And your Marketing statements are for your Vendor section not here!

You can also get a pallet from
http://www.smo-kingovens.com.au/woodchi ... ts-prices/

At $20 approx for 9kg bag - pallet price its quite good.

I did a group buy last year and they are good.

I prefer the GMG for low & slow though

I much prefer the fruitwood to the gold blend. But that's just my opinion. It's a sweeter taste.

Ya gotta love Mesquite pellets! I realize the Texas Blend does not have a huge amount of Mesquite in it, but for many it is just right!...Me, I will use 100% when I can find it! I like the Gold Blend cuz I think Oak is an under appreciated wood...and Yes, BBQr's Delight makes a fine pellet as they are 66% Oak based pellets too!
