Lychee wood

Hi Guys,

I have a 2.5 acres of mature lychee trees and am an avid BBQer. I have recently bought a hark smoker to begin my first foray into offset cooking. Has anyone tried using lychee before in their smoker? My perception is that lychee wood isn't necessarily a 'hardwood', however it does carry some weight in the larger limbs.. Would be interested to know if it would smoke well seeing as I have an abundant supply
