I love the "What did you Cook" Threads and give eternal thanks to Buccaneer for kicking them off waaaaay back but for the life of me struggle to find THAT cook that I want to replicate when I go looking for it.
The time it takes to trawl through all the posts in WDYC is way too hard given that we are on Page 38 of Thread number 9 now

Maybe the answer is to make sure we post up our cooks as recipes and then just whack a pic in the WDYC threads? I'm guilty of this myself via my "Playing with my Hark/Offset/Kettle" threads. I originally thought that apart from being a record of what we'd done might be a handy reference to others with that type of Q.

HMMMM............... just thinking about it they probably need to be vetted as well as they could be in the wrong place and are definitely duplicated over in WDYC.

It's hard ain't it?

I think in what I cooked! There should be no reply! Only photos & what you have cooked text! Maybe have a section what iam planning to or going to cook! My cook today was never ever going to have mustard on it. Untill I saw a new photo on another thread with mustard on it! Thats my 2cents worth.........

Not trying to be combative, but what is the real difference between my thread and these?

I guess so I have a little more direction, what type of post are to go in a section like this?

Its a tough call sometimes where to post a new topic.
Posts of this nature should go in the "What did you cook" topic. Same as some of the recent posts in the Forum General forum.

By the time a mod sees them there are several posts following the OP's post and it does get difficult to merge the posts into the correct topic.

Nothing as far as I can see Bentley.

I posted my Beef Short Ribs as a recipe for Pellet owners, no difference at all to http://www.aussiebbq.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=65 as far as I can see.

This subject is discussed in the general forum but seeing as though you don't seem to understand I will make it clear to you so you will understand if I move a post.
This section is called BBQ types. This section is for members to post questions and seek advice about different BBQ types. Gas for gasses, charcoal for charcoal and so forth. It is not for showcasing what you cooked nor is it for recipes or advertising. You have been a member of this forum for a while now and have been advised previously of this when you have had posts moved before. If you want to discuss this any further send a PM to the mod/admin team. Do not continue it here.

Perhaps this post should be shuffled over here ....... http://www.aussiebbq.info/forum/viewtop ... 12&t=13134 Mods please move. TY Wayne. It's a bit confusing with the 2 threads running.

Captain
Hii Cap'n, Just been having a squiz at the Board index page and wonder if we need to be more descriptive with the topics?

Eg The Kamados Topic........

Kamado Cookers Ceramic Kamado Cookers and Big Steel Kegs

is the heading and descriptor.

To me and some others it would be an easy mistake to post up a "cook " in there if it was done on a Kamado. Perhaps more info in the descriptor would help people to get it right? As I posted above, I'm certainly guilty of it myself.

Cheers, Wayne
