I've been looking for a good wood to use in a stick burner for predominantly beef and pork, and it seems Iron Bark is easily come across and seems to work well for both meats.
I'm looking at Herfos which is $450 for 1 tonne of Iron Bark or $410 for River Red Gum.
Alternately there's $450 for 2 loose cubic metres from here http://www.thewoodshed.com.au/products
I'm probably going to try and get some Iron Bark to test out when I get my stick burner, but does anyone have any hot tips for wood around this area for stick burners?
Thanks
