Can't help, but! Costco’s return policy is second to none.
Bunnings seems to be luck of the draw.

There's been a mixed experience with the Louisiana grills from what I understand and the original Importer Grill Pro stopped importing them when louisiana grills were also allowing other importers and retailers including Costco to sell them. A mate of mine bought the Louisiana 1900 (the biggest one) from another importer. I'll have to ask him an updated opinion on them.

Another mate from work has recently bought a vertical cabinet gravity flow and has done a few good cooks in it. I'm not sure the brand but it could be Pit Boss or something....again, I'll ask and get an opinion for you dane.

There's another brand that has good back-up from the importers and that's Z grills. The sell the tradition Traeger designed pit but have heard many people sing their praises. https://zgrills.com.au/

Probably the only minus in regards to Louisiana grills is that they have a very small by comparison pellet hopper.

If you can get to a Weber Specialist store, have a look at the smaller Pellet grill they have.

I can't afford a Yoder a almost $5K for a YS640 but I could go either Z grills or the Weber brand, don't think I'd go the Pitboss version. Traeger still make a good Pellet smoker. All but Yoder is made in China so take your pick of the pellet poopers

I have 2 friends with the Louisiana Barrel pellet grill, one is now 7 years old and has had a burner rod replaced but he still uses and like the Louisiana, my other friend is an American living in Sydney and has gone back to his offset because he can't get the smokey hit with his Louisiana Pellet grill. It needs a new auger feeder.
Have a workmate who has the Pitboss cabinet smoker and is really enjoying it but he's only had it a few weeks and still getting used to it.

I've used or owned neither so can't comment on my experience

Cheers

I was the Australian importer for Louisianna for a few years and I still have my contact details listed publicly to help people as Im the only business in Australia with spare parts for the LG700 , LG900 , LG900C and LG1100
For the past year or more Im receiving a call a day almost from someone with a Louisiana Vertical Pellet Smoker with problems.

I would not buy a Louisiana Vertical Pellet Smoker

Im not a fan of the vertical design personally anyway.
