Valentine's day inspiration

Post by AzJohnnyC » Thu Feb 09, 2012 12:01 pm

Here's an idea for what to get that special person. I made these bacon roses for friends of mine as a gift when they were moving to another state.

I didn't laquer them. I dusted them with my rub seasoning, put some brown sugar on them, added some honey, rolled them up, and cooked them. You need to use a mini muffin pan, drill holes in the bottom for the grease to drain (put a pan underneath to catch the grease), then bake them until the bacon is done. Get some fake roses, pull the tops off and use the plastic stems, then in a vase, and you have bacon roses. They didn't last long, I tell you.
Cheers!
